Way back in 1996, we released a series of twelve 7" singles by the Melvins. The following year, all of them were put together on a double CD that was simply known as Melvins 1-12.

For the 30th Anniversary, we're reissuing the whole kit-n-kaboodle for the first time as a vinyl double LP & we went all out to make it a complete smorgasbord of visual delights.

Most of the gatefold sleeve has artwork by HAZE XXL & silkscreened in 4 colors on our regular tan chipstock sleeves by Obsolete Industries. It was then was further customized with the inner part of the gate getting hand-stamped using a giant stamper with ink that ranges from pale ivory to creamy yellow & adorned with little holographic flower stickers in various colorways. There's also a letterpress print by Mackie Osborne mounted inside opposite the stamped skull. The print is on the yellow cardstock with bright orange & goldenrod ink, which is also exclusive to this edition. Edition # is hand-stamped on the inside of the gate under the large skull stamp. After the set was assembled & sealed in the plastic sleeve, a final detail of another small sticker was put on to line up with the center of the sunflower on the front of the sleeve. Even beyond the variation you get with hand-stamping so much, there's so much more going once once to factor in the different shades of color between the in letterpress & stamper inks & the holographic stickers, truly none of the sleeves will be exactly like any of the others.

The vinyl colors to this edition match the sleeve ink in orange & dark red. Sides A/B are a combined haze of those 2 colors & C/D are them in a pinwheel pattern.
